Well take a bow Loong Tu, you really did return happiness to the people! ????

60th place only? you'd think with all the happy ending Thailand is famous for the'll among the first 10 places for sure.

Before Prayut took over to restore happiness to the people, in 2013 Thailand ranked 54th now slipped to 60th. Another fail, he seems happy with his failures, unlike the general population. :coffee1:

There is a huge difference between retiring in Thailand and needing to have a job and children here.

So he has returned happiness to the people, well at least one notch....

Happiness to the people... in eight years not a big improvement....And it is a question who they asked ...Corruption more happy, borrow money more happy, paying back not happy, air quality.... not happy, freedom of speech and writings no happy, Phuket ... more happy....etc

until he learned that the uptick in ranking was due to Thais anticipating his election loss later in the year - that made him grumpy, again.

Probably too many Whingeing Poms living in Thailand that are caught up in the results and dragging down the score.

So it's all the Farangs fault

So uou think Thailand should be placed on number 1, the happiest lot on earth?

Stupid man.

He is happy as long as any other southeast asian country worse off.

Sadly, but not surprisingly, -no ambision...

We must first define happiness, then decide who is happier first and with the harsh climate in Finland which pushes the population to heat up in saunas at 100°C to survive, it is clear that everything boils down to material happiness.

You are completely right, in this situation Thailand should be ranked 100.

It's not that I indicate that Thailand should be better placed in the ranking, I'm just saying that the ranking only takes into account material well-being and forgets about other aspects other western countries may or may not be considered happier, living in a country with such a harsh climate should be lowered in the happiness rankings if one can be first define this happiness ranking well as happiness.

How can this be?  Finnair is their National Carrier and they don't serve free drinks!  You need a bank loan for a G & T!

So happy the people, you delusional fool. Here a screenshot of Chiang Rai's air quality today
