Thai Rath reported on a TikTok post by a younger sister who related what happened to her elder sibling who went into a Buriram hospital to give birth.

She was nine months pregnant and had been in hospital overnight before the scheduled delivery.

But the child had to be artificially removed. The lady had a serious hemorrhage after her uterus ruptured.

She went into shock and was unconscious.

She was revived by CPR.

But then she had her leg amputated.

The poster said they were telling what happened to get the serious incident off their chest.

Many people commented producing a further response from the poster.

Thai Rath followed up and discovered that the child is doing fine and the mother is recovering in the hospital.

The local health authority is mounting a full investigation into the circumstances of the case.

Jeez that sucks.

In my recent prostate biopsy operation in the UK, as I was hoisted into the leg stirrups and bared my nether regions for all to see, I humourously reminded the young doctor that he was doing a prostate biopsy and not a gender reassignment operation ????

Could have been worse...

During a prostrate examination the nice looking nurse said it was common to get an erection, the patient said it was okay he'd had the examination before and it had never happened..

The nurse replied, you may be okay but I always get one  Lol.

Sounds like an average day of Thai medicine.

What a pathetic, Thai bashing attempt.
Medical treatment in Thailand is a lot better than in many western countries.
Perhaps you'd like to tell us how good medical care is in your beautiful home country

Sounds like the average Thai-bashing comment with nothing to back it up.

Buriram

What did they do with the leg, sell it at the local market for 57 baht a kilo?

Is that not the great Anutins province?
