How To Find A Condo

Featured Replies

I've just moved down to Bkk from Chiang Mai and am looking for a place for me and the fam. A guy I'll be working with has got himself a 2bdrm condo in Thonglor, rented direct from the owner, for 13000. And it's a nice building. The same condo, rented by the office at the building goes for close to 20000.

So, question is, how to find those rented by owner condos? Do buildings have bulletin boards where owners can post rentable places? Is there a Thai newspaper that has classifieds for this kind of thing? Do I just keep putting out the word and hope that someone knows someone who knows someone who's renting?

I feel like I'm running in circles in this city!

Thanks for any advice that comes my way

Cheers,

tt

I would just find a building you like, ask the management office if there's any vacant condos and if you like the place, ask the management office to call up the owner and start negotiating... make sure the contract is in English and is amenable to yourself of course.
