The Thai police have issued an ultimatum to the motorbike and street racing gangs.

 

Misbehave at Songkran and the RTP will come down on offenders like a ton of bricks.

 

The Chachoengsao police said they were concentrating on ten possible offences to keep the gangs in check, reported Daily News.

This will go on for seven days from 11th to 17th April, the time of the traditional Thai New Year.

 

The police promised to find out where gangs were meeting possibly utilizing their renowned technology skills.

The crackdown is part of a wider campaign to ensure road safety in the holidays.

 

Police will be mounting speed and abrupt lane change checks as well as a Songkran favorite....

Bit of a white elephant, if preveious years are anything to go by speeding during Songkran in Pattaya is virtually impossible as all the roads will be gridlocked .............LOL

But do it any other time of the year and the RTP will just sit there, watch you go by and do absolutely nothing.
