Where would I find a proper cigar?

In my humidor in my man cave in deepest Isaan.

All my cigars are bought overseas from cigar shops with walk-in humidors and stock control. I also buy them duty-free online from a Hong Kong cigar specialist but that 'personal import' regime is fraught with challenges here.

Cigarista, cigar store in Tip Plaza on second road, Pattaya.

In Bangkok, try Davidoff in Gaysorn Village mall, Phloen Chit Road. Also Cigarista Peninsula Plaza on Rajdumri Rd.

I usually have it deliver from Cigar Emperor: they have it stored in a special room at the right humidity and temperature. They usually have it deliver to you the same say through Line Man.

I also enjoy going to Whisgars, where cigars are also stored in the same conditions. You can have a lady pour you a nice whisky and lighting a cigar of your choice.

Don't expect to pay the same prices than in the West though: it is definitely a luxury product here. If you find a better place with lower prices, please let us know.

I can't attest to the mollycoddling of the cigars as I don't smoke, but Whisgars on soi 23 bangkok is a very nice place. Various 5 star hotels offer cigar lounges on the premises, and Paddy's Irish pud and grill at Mabprachan pattaya advertises a cigar lounge.

I've been smoking for over 50 years, in BKK for 6+.  My daughter and her friends bring me 50+ cigars every visit.  It's very difficult to find "fresh" cigars in BKK. When I run out, I go over to the Mandarin Oriental.  Pricey but they have a great room to smoke in while enjoying cocktails.

I find it more difficult to find a place to smoke ! ! !

Was in Friendship Supermarket in South Pattaya today, and was surprised to see a large selection of Cigars, did not look closely, but there's a start for you, if you're in the vicinity....

Yes they have a reasonable selection, some Cuban, but they are not kept in a humidor and they dry out because of the aircon?

In BKK, Siam Kempinski, behind Paragon, has an excellent cigar lounge with everything well cared for.

They have a second venue at the Kempinski on Lang Suan with live jazz

next door.  You can't go wrong at the the Oriental, by the river, either.

I assume, by your requirements, that you won't be frightened by their price point.

Classic retort. Love it! ????

Same as the loo seat! Why should I put that down just because you're a woman?

Well I taught my Mrs to put the seat down herself and not nag me.. but still would not fancy a home stinking of cigar smoke.. permeates and lingers!

Correct, but I like the smell cigar smoke, sure beats the smell of marijuana smoke!

That's the reason they have cigar lounges, I suppose?

Not to hijack but cigar/whiskey/whisky bar in central Bangkok? Or reasonable outside beer garden to enjoy a stogie.

Anyone wants a meetup I've got a cigar for you if you've got the whisky

Agreed, Whisgars (behind Craft Bar) Sukhumvit 23 have a large range in comfortable surroundings.
