Popular Post KhunLA Posted April 17, 2023 Popular Post Posted April 17, 2023 Anyone writing/emailing your Congress person with your views. If not, you shouldn't expect any change in the gun laws We can argue, discuss our opinions all day, and it won't change anything. I've express my opinions & thought to my Congress person many times, and apparently they don't care about my opinion. Until enough people want things / laws to change, we'll all just have to A2D. Expressing your opinion to me ... Y'all singing to the choir. Tell your Congress person, not me. Have a pleasant day. 1 1 1

Hatred of white! ???? You should write "hatred by white" "Most violent far-right perpetrators were motivated by white supremacist or anti-government sentiments, and they committed most of the fatal attacks in 2021." https://www.csis.org/analysis/pushed-extremes-domestic-terrorism-amid-polarization-and-protest

The guns have always been here, people's moral compass has changed, not the guns. What absolute and utter tosh!!! Nowhere, ever, has a gun, not held by someone, ever shot anyone. Never. When the 2nd Amendment was written, howoften could a gun fire before being reloaded? What was the muzzle velocity? How far would a round carry? Your "justifications" get weirder and more outlandish pretty much every time you post. There is NO reason whatever for having assault weapons in the hand sof the populatn as a whole. PH 1 1 1

I had a flintlock here, yes here/TH, and lucky if I could load 1 round in 1 minute. And yes, that's how readily available firearms are here, just ask and you can receive. Also had a handgun that short a rifle cartridge ... and nope, didn't test that one out. Which in the 21st Century defeats the whole purpose of having a firearm for self defense, when the criminal has a semi with two 30 round mags taped together for quick reload. Or even one 15 rd mag handgun, as would be more common. A simple 5 rd revolver, and you lose that battle vs a muzzle loader. Stop the criminals from having guns, or punish them at least. Don't take guns away from law abiding folks, as they do need them occasionally. Especially if filling up the freezer with venison, and what most get used for. 1 1

At the time the 2nd Amendment was written in 1791: In 1791 You Could Fire Only Once Every Thirty Seconds In 1791, it took the average gun owner about thirty seconds to load and fire his gun, and it took great skill practice to be able to hit what he was aiming at.Sep 12, 2019 https://medium.com/technology-taxes-education-columns-by-david-grace/guns-america-in-1791-were-worlds-away-from-guns-america-today-e1f502674d4a https://www.britannica.com/topic/Second-Amendment 1

I will never understand that logic at all. Exactly. Americans choose to live this way by continuing to elect legislators who vote against sensible gun regulation. Unfortunately, for most legislation it takes a supermajority to get anything done. Americans also have developed a skewed emphasis on individual rights (the rights of me) at the expense of building a more livable, tolerant society (taking into account the rights of my neighbor). 1

It would be interesting to know how many individuals holding any weapons are actually members of any State National Guard units. The National Guard units seem to have their weapons provided by the national governments and held in fairly secure armories, unlike the people who have bought their own weapons, are not in the National Guard units, and theoretically illegally holding those weapons. 2 hours ago, metisdead said: Alabama shooting: 3 arrested for violence at birthday party DADEVILLE, Ala. - Law enforcement officials have arrested two teenagers and a 20-year-old man in connection to the mass shooting during a Sweet 16 birthday party in eastern Alabama that killed four and injured more than 30 people. My answer to that is say that face to face to the parents, brothers and sisters, family and friends of those 4 people who were mercilessly slaughtered at a 16th birthday party. 1
riclag Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 Still no motive yet! I’m happy they arrested the sick demented trigger person or persons and others. Accusations of reckless murder , were charged for three of the individuals! When I first read the charge title I was shocked there could be a title “reckless”, isnt murder heinous enough but further reading of the definition explains it better “Essentially, reckless murder is when someone is fully aware of their action, knowing that it will cause harm or death, and following through with the action anyways”. https://www.wsfa.com/2023/04/19/explainer-understanding-dadeville-mass-shooting-suspects-reckless-murder-charges/ 1 1
