The stumbling block is as usual, the GOP, the republicans who automatically oppose anything that the Democrats propose.

 

It is long past time yhat the current mob, I cannot call them a political party were kicked out of the house and the senate and a new lot brought in who WILL work for the USA and ALL its people.

 

That means in all states and at federal level. That is not to say get rid of the GOP, just the current incumbents, and replace them with party members who ARE willing to work for the country and NOT the current party line.

 

The Democrats may have to go the same way.

The law is quite simple and straight-forward:

 

15 U.S. Code § 7902

 

(a)In general
A qualified civil liability action may not be brought in any Federal or State court.

If it is a federal law and was passed in 2005 then the law can be struck down and replaced by another law removing that action.

 

To me that is a bad law, and my common sense says that it should be removed and actions may be brought in any Federal or State court.

 

Bear in mind that the law is 18 years old and things change over the years.

 

The same thing should apply with the second amendment. It was merely an amendment to the constitution over 200 years ago when life was completely different.

 

As an amendment it also could be removed and a new amendment could and should replace it.

It would be nice if our governments in the US would focus more on enforcing exiting laws, including gun laws rather than just pushing legislation that will do nothing. 

 

We've always had a lot of guns in the US, but all of the sudden they're the problem.

The amount of guns keep increasing and the amount of gun deaths keep increasing. It doesn't take a genius to figure that one out.

Yes, by all means everyone VOTE!  But until the primary system is retooled/revised, we may still have tyranny by the minority.

 

In my state even though voting participation has been picking up, the primary system still results in the more moderate candidates being "primaried out" by extremist voters. 

 

Ranked Choice voting is needed. Then moderate politicians with the majority's support can win primaries and elections and we'll no longer have the crazy extremists in either party holding sway.
