Quite the opposite, in fact. Many have a wide overhanging roof which offers some protection from the sun, but get a strong wind underneath and off comes the roof. Happened to the house next door to mine. Those few minutes, usually just before a storm as the air pressure changes, can be quite frightening.

What an idiot comment. Who controls the weather?? How was it avoidable? What would you have done? Asked for a Code of Compliance Certificate before sheltering under there?
