The EU is NOT just France and France does NOT speak for the whole EU though it seems that Digital Minister Jean-Noël Barrot' of France believes that he does.

hummm, maybe not, but france and germany are the dominant players in the EU, so their opinions carry weight

Thierry Breton, the EU's internal market commisioner, rowed back on his recent strongly worded warnings against Twitter. “We are here to help companies comply with our new law", Breton said.

More like he jumped the gun. I don't see how Twitter is going to pass that stress test given that there is almost no content moderation. Except when someone posts something that displeases Musk.

Well he needs to find some replacements before this stress test, this is the second time the head of trust and safety has resigned.

Twitter’s Head of Trust and Safety Resigns

Twitter’s head of trust and safety, Ella Irwin, resigned from the company Thursday, she told The Wall Street Journal.

Irwin’s departure is the second time someone in that role has left since Elon Musk bought the company in October. Yoel Roth, who had previously served as Twitter’s head of trust and safety, left the company in November, and Irwin subsequently took the top job overseeing user content and safety policies.
