A restrained Matthew Dupre, who flew into Thailand on May 28th under heavy guard, is being held in the custody of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) in the Thai capital Bangkok as he faces trial for the murder of 32-year-old Indian drug kingpin Jimmy Sandhu on February 4th 2022 in what police believe was a contract killing.

Dupre was arrested by Canadian police in Alberta on February 21st 2022 only 18 days after the Friday night murder in Phuket on February 4th 2022. His suspected associate, Mr Gene Karl Lahrkamp, died in a plane crash while on the run on April 30th 2022 in Ontario Canada.

The Extradited Canadian suspect Matthew Dupre, accused of being one of two hitmen who murdered Indian drug kingpin Jimmy Sandhu in February last year, is to be tried in Bangkok and will not appear before a court in Phuket where the late-night murder took place outside Sandhu’s luxury villa on the resort island. This was confirmed last week by Phuket’s police chief, General Sermphan Sirikong.

Matthew Dupre, the former Canadian elite forces specialist who was extradited from Alberta in Canada to Thailand on Sunday the 28th of May is to stand trial for the murder of 32-year-old Indian-born gangster Jimmy Sandhu in Phuket on February 4th 2022, in Bangkok.

The killing is thought by authorities to have been a contract killing with its origins in Canada from where Jimmy Sandhu was deported back to India in 2016 after becoming involved in gangland violence and feuds.

Many. A quick Google search gives a sample.

  • 2019: A German man was extradited to Thailand to face charges of child sexual abuse.
  • 2018: A British man was extradited to Thailand to face charges of murder.
  • 2017: A Canadian man was extradited to Thailand to face charges of drug trafficking.
  • 2016: A Chinese man was extradited to Thailand to face charges of fraud.
  • 2015: A Japanese man was extradited to Thailand to face charges of money laundering.

those stats kinda put canada at the top of the list for extraditers. ..

Being canadian i gotta say i hate my country. over taxation, heavy bureaucracy, a welfare system that doesnt really take care of its citizens... example: if you suddenly for whatever reason you need welfare you must sell your assets (tv, car...) before you are even eligible.

now, here is what i dont get. how many countries have ever extradited one of theirs to thailand. even the danish guy [correct me if i am wrong not sure wat country]  who murdered the brit isnt getting extradited. hell,,, they arent even trying to get the red bull guy back.

canada sucks... really during the 2004 tsunami we had the worst relief/help in the world.

a country that gives up its citizens so easily does not deserve the capital letter that goes on country's names.

Im surprised Canada is extraditing him to a country that has the death sentence, This happened just around the corner from where I live then there was an English guy who killed an American guy who got extradited back to Thailand, that also happened in my area, Rawai

I think thats why Norway will not let the guy be sent back to Thailand

So who's worse, the drug king or the assissin?

One could argue that anybody who takes out drug dealers should be given a medal.

It's quite obvious that the cops aren't taking care of these guys.

These are the kind of people you might be sitting next to in places like Phuket and Pattaya.

Rather you than me, that's all I can say.

As his arrtest in Albereta and subswquent extraditon suggest, these are the people you could be sitting next to anywhere.

But there are places where it's more likely than others.

This is the way it was in the US when I was a kid.  You would have to have your phone service shut off because it was not a necessity.  This changed around 1970 when crime rate was up and the welfare inspectors were getting mugged when they made the rounds, so no more home inspections.

You must have sympathy for someone who kills people by profession .... disgusting!:coffee1:

look, you are doing the moral indignation and virtue signalling thing again. Its like you are such a good person you cant help yourself.

There is a very big difference between condoninig murder and having zero respect for the hollow displays of folks like you,
