Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) said on Tuesday that migrants fleeing climate change were unsafe in the United States due to many natural disasters.

"Right here, it says that you say the reason why people are coming to America today is because of violence, food insecurity, severe poverty, corruption, climate change, and the COVID-19 pandemic," she said.

"So we have homelessness here in America. Natural disasters, talk about climate change. This is the fourth largest country in the world. We have an extremely diverse climate. We have a wide range of natural disasters."

Are you saying she is wrong here? She is pointing out the absurdity of the left who claim economic migrants are fleeing to the USA because of "climate change". Judging by media coverage it was an effective strategy.

I see no evidence Greene is "anti immigrant" as you claim without evidence. But certainly she is against illegal immigration and open borders, as are most conservatives.

You might want to look into the news an outside of the MSM for news, for it is well known she has made statements indicating she is anti immigrant

Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is pushing the public to “citizen co-sponsor” her extreme anti-immigrant bill, which has thus far received zero cosponsors in Congress, a mostly symbolic move that will have “little practical consequence,” according to one expert.

Greene introduced the bill, the “Protect America First Act,” on Friday. The legislation calls for a four-year moratorium on all immigration; full funding for and construction of the southern border wall; expedited removal of undocumented immigrants; revocation of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, which protects from deportation undocumented people brought to the United States as children; and a revival of Donald Trump’s zero tolerance immigration policy, which led to thousands of children being separated from their families, among other harsh anti-immigrant measures.

From there, no one is sure what to make of this display. “Bless your heart” is one cutting response, and no one knows what Greene’s point is, other than putting her anti-immigration spin on everything.

Yes, she is wrong, about as wrong as when she ranted about Jewish Space Lazers. Climate change migration is real, not just to the US but every country. Its a growing problem, 100's of thousands die each year from climate change impacts and its getting worse. Each country needs to plan for taking in such genuine refugees. Look at the facts, you won't find them with her.

At least she is admitting to climate change however.

Her brain seems to work in very strange ways……….she is in my humble opinion a certified dingbat and that doesn’t say much for the folks that voted for her

If the USA is not safe for migrants as MTG claims, then it follows on that it is not safe for US citizens also.

Yet she and 334,233,854 people still live there.

The U.S. Census Bureau projected the U.S. population will be 334,233,854 on January 1, 2023. New population estimates and projections and other demographic data up to the year 2100 for 30 countries and areas in the International Data Base (IDB).
