Other articles mention that she got a double-bump to the rank of Captain, in less than two years. And that there is some "suspicion" regarding her meteoric rise.

I'm sure she didn't have to "buy" an "Elephant Ticket".

She's good at promoting herself in more ways than one. Renowned country singer? er no unless for all the wrong reasons. Saw her a few years ago at a Got Jakapan concert in Chonburi, probably cannot post what I thought of her singing, lets just say less than good. Listen to the clip of her singing a famous Pumpuang song! ????

I'm all for QUALIFIED, talented women serving in the Thai police force or elsewhere in law enforcement anywhere. Women are certainly underrepresented in the Thai police force...

But PLEASE!!!! From nothing to lieutenant to Lt. Col in less than two years????

That kind of ridiculous advancement tells you everything bad you need to know about the "old boys club" that is the RTP.

What kind of degrees does she hold from universities.  The only way to truly promote without undue influence, or payment in this country is to having obtained degrees or Masters.  It took my now former BIL 12 years to reach Lt. Colonel, and he went back to school twice for extra degrees, and obtained his masters in Criminal Justice. He then had to petition and test to obtain the rank, it was not just bestowed on him like this young lady.  If qualified, then ok, if not then this shows true Old School tactics and having friends in high places.

Having come from a LEO background I saw it play out elsewhere as those in the circles of the upper echelon where given the answers to upcoming tests and the questions to the interviews afterwards.

What has happened to earning your promotion even here in this country.

Your BIL got his MS... Some folks get their BS....

In this case, it appears the young lady in question earned her rank by having achieved a BQ degree -- beauty queen!

No promotion in 544 years, eh? Career has stalled, it seems....

So what rank is she, Lt, Capt or Lt Col.  This has clearly been written by Khun Thai Police, which is not only confusing, but beggars belief!

That the woman in question here has any Thai police officer rank is pretty rank!

You earn your promotion in Thailand by placing bundles of baht notes to those that authorise promotions, it's called corruption.

More likely down to her previous musical talents and the tunes she can play on the skin flute.

For her audition/job interview, she played a slobbering blues on the bone-a-phone. ????
