webfact
Phuket – A Kazakhstani man, suspected of shooting a Russian man who was sitting in his car at a popular Phuket Cafe, has denied all charges including intent to murder. A gun believed to be the weapon used in the crime has been found in a pond in Cherng Talay, Thalang. The Phuket Provincial Police Commander Major General Sermphan Sirikong told the Phuket Express on Saturday (June 10th) that an arrest warrant was issued by the Phuket Provincial Court on Thursday (June 8th) for the Kazakhstani suspect, Mr. Artur Legay, 49. Mr. Legay is facing charges with intent to murder and illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition. However he has denied all charges and told police that he knows nothing at all and has been described as uncooperative with any questioning. Will the take him to HQ via helicopter?
brianthainess
Hello Mr Policeman, remember that red crash helmet you found, along with the other discarded garments found, on the route he took, you know the one the shooter was wearing, have you thought of checking it for DNA to see if it matches the accused? Ah thought not.
smedly
can you imagine going to the airport after having a nice vacation in the land of smiles and a swat team swooping and arresting you while minding your own business waiting in the departure lounge, there would need to be some very compelling evidence to do so IMO

chalawaan
The original story mentioned CCTV, that's how they tracked him. Plus daylight eyewitnesses, plus the victim survived and could give incriminating testimony. And then there's Thai justice, no jury, all hearings held in secret. He can deny all he wants to his dying day. He's about as likely to walk as Christopher Reeve.
