The problem with having a VP like Biden was that he was looking to feather his nest before retirement. This might have been the way, but let's wait and see.

Actually, Biden managed to feather his nest quite nicely after leaving the vice Presidency by charging a lot for speeches and getting a big payment for a book.

I believe reasonable people everywhere have a duty to justice before their political allegiances, and if Biden or Trump or Bojo, or Sturgeon or anyone else commits crimes, then they must fall.

Who agrees?

I agree. But the anti-Biden crowd which is pretty much the same as the pro-Trump crowd discounts the very strong evidence against one of them while exaggerating the strength of the scanty evidence against the other.

hahahahahaha, strangely all the ones that come in to go off about trump are silent now their gloroius leader is being exposed, US politics is a joke at best, they are all in it for themselves and all are crooked as a dogs hind leg. Biden is just doing what all the others do/have done but looks like now he has been caught out, will we see a second president being charged and facing the courts

Who exactly is being quiet about this? As repeatedly pointed out, this is very weak evidence. Especially given that it was processed by a special unit created by William Barr to vet Ukrainian evidence.

Is this not the same phony issue Trump was impeached for trying to investigate?

It is interesting that when you google Burisma executive the only thing that comes up is far right propaganda.

Were this true, CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC and the NYT would be all over it.

I guess you could say that. Shouldn't the CIA have investigated that matter? Oh, wait. Now that I think about it, they probably did.

based on no evidence that his justice Dept thought was worth investigating.

You mean the phony issue Trump tried to blackmail Zelenski into giving a veneer or credibility?

Looking at it from a different angle, it wouldn't be so bad if this, so far unproven and unsubstantiated allegation from a right wing senator and reported by a right wing "news" channel on an increasingly white wing (auto-corrected, but I think I'll leave it as it is) social media site, is true.  Unlike a certain other party, the Democrats are bigger than the man.  Do the crime, face the consequences.  At least it would mean there would be a fresh(er) candidate from them for the election.  Who knows, Kamala might prove to be a great president when she's promoted to the job, and hand DeSantis's rear to him on a plate next year.

I agree.  I consider it extremely unlikely that President Biden was involved in his son's grifting, but if he was then impeach him and press charges.  The Democrats can find another candidate.  I'm not sure the Republicans can.

Out the mouth of a Republican Senator, so there’s a fair chance you are right.

The spawn of Giuliani.... More unsubstantiated nonsense.

"In a statement Wednesday, Jamie Raskin, D-Md., the member of the Oversight Committee, said the FBI team that briefed him and Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., on Monday said “that the Department of Justice team of prosecutors and FBI agents under U.S. Attorney Scott Brady determined that there were no grounds to escalate their probe from an initial assessment of the allegations surfaced by Rudy Giuliani to a preliminary or full-blown investigation and that it was therefore closed down.”

The Republicans have been pursuing the Joe Biden-Burisma-Ukraine claims since at least 2019, nearly 4 years now... And in all that time, they've produced nothing credible / substantiated of any wrongdoing by Joe Biden....  Is this latest round likely to be any different?.....

So, Hunter is a grifter? I thought the laptop was Russian disinformation, no?

Why not introduce a few facts, for a change?

Thanks to the excellent timeline provided by Just Security, it may be noticed that:

- Hunter was recruited before the investigation into Burisma was opened

- before Shokin was appointed, as well as during his office, the Obama administration has been continuously complaining about Ukraine's prosecutor's burying the Burisma case instead of investigating it.

April 2014 – Hunter Biden joins Ukrainian firm Burisma

Aug. 5, 2014 – Ukraine investigation of Burisma

Ukrainian Prosecutor General Vitaly Yarema opens an investigation of Burisma owner Mykola Zlochevskiy on suspicion of “unlawful enrichment.”

Feb. 3, 2015 — Obama administration conveys harsh criticism of Ukraine Prosecutor General’s Office for its coverup of Zlochevskiy/Burisma

Kent, who had long pushed Ukrainian prosecutors for investigations into Zlochevskiy, “scolded” the deputy prosecutor for having “shut the criminal case”

Feb. 10, 2015  – Viktor Shokin takes office as Ukraine’s prosecutor general, replacing Yarema.

Sept. 24, 2015 – U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt excoriates officials in the Prosecutor General’s Office for stymying anti-corruption investigations, including those involving Burisma

Quote from his speech:

"For example, in the case of former Ecology Minister Mykola Zlochevskiy, the U.K. authorities had seized 23 million dollars in illicit assets that belonged to the Ukrainian people. Officials at the PGO’s office were asked by the U.K to send documents supporting the seizure.

Instead they sent letters to Zlochevskiy’s attorneys attesting that there was no case against him. As a result, the money was freed by the U.K. court and shortly thereafter the money was moved to Cyprus."

Dec. 8, 2015 – Vice President Biden makes a speech to Ukraine’s Parliament urging the country to step up anti-corruption measures.

Feb. 16, 2016 – Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin resigns, then returns to office before finally being ousted

Whilst all these politicians are  investigating and impeaching each other, who is actually governing the country?

The UK seems to be going the same way too.

Some politicians seem to think that people are really engaged with all this back and forth whilst the truth of it is that most are sick to death of it. School yard antics.

True, they have been investigating each other. However, the big difference is that one side came up with evidence such as testimonies under oath, documents, messages and recordings, and the other side only came up with allegations.

What will happen to the people that actually IMPEACHED a President for wanting an investigation of the biden's corruption in Ukraine now that we know there is much evidence(that was covered up by the DOJ and would have immediately ended the impeachment farce) that corruption WAS taking place.

If we remember he was impeached for falsely insinuating that biden was taking corrupt payments from the Ukraine that he actually WAS taking. No wonder conservatives do not trust the DOJ or democrat media one iota.

Isn't it great for joe that the media is fixating on the illogical charges against his political opponent at such a crucial time which has somehow buried reports on the corruption we were told in no uncertain terms never happened. What a mess.

Congratulations. You found a straw to grasp but you still have NO proof that will hold up in a court of law.

NO there is NOT evidence at all.

There is the unproven allegations of a Burisma executive but no actual proof of anything.

Senator Grassley (89) can play the recording on Fox News any time he wants. But the old fogey obviously doesn't have damning evidence or he would have played it. Just the usual insinuations.

(Note to self: Where exactly is the infamous Hunter Biden laptop? Haven't heard much recently.)

Good for him. But while he was VP he may have been thinking about his future as a retired politician.   A quick five mil from some eastern European oligarch may have been tempting. Still, all speculation until the evidence comes. If it comes...

Are you saying these audio recordings, plus all the bank records we recently saw, plus the collosal web of LLC's and shell companies recieving inexplicably earned money from overseas, plus the whistleblowers and people involved such as Bobulinski, plus all the emails and messages on the laptop are either all showing perfectly legitimate business for a career politician which are all legal, or all fakes? Nothing to them?

Is it not more likely based on ALL the evidence combined that the GOP had this right from the get go, and that Joe Biden is indeed corrupt?

So far you have provided NO truths, proof or anything that will stand up in any court of law, except the one in your own mind.

What is needed is proof,

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/proof#:~:text=%3A the cogency of evidence that, accordance with principles of reasoning

Proof

1 a: the cogency of evidence that compels acceptance by the mind of a truth or a fact
1 b: the process or an instance of establishing the validity of a statement especially by derivation from other statements in accordance with principles of reasoning

Nothing to it it’s just another attempt to attack/smear the Biden’s imo

You don't need to smear him, the facts speak for themselves, he's as corrupt as they come, allegedly.???? Luckily he will not recall the events and what happened to the cash.

Going by recent history it should be impeach first, then try and find the evidence!

More BS. The left has some evidence as well, it's mostly phony, but they have some.

Remember, fifty FBI agents swore Hunter's laptop was disinformation and then candidate Biden quoted them in the debate,

In other words all you've got is a claim that has already been vetted by the FBI special team created by William Barr and not pursued any further. You've got virtually nothing.
