The office to renew a Thai passport is next to the convention centre so likely safe to assume they also issue new passport. Excellent set up and wife received replacement passport via EMS in 5 days.

Yes my wife got hers in just a couple days via EMS.  Also you can make an appointment online which makes the whole process very quick & painless

 

If someone was in a bigger rush you can get it same day if you apply in Bangkok & pay more

Went there on a Tuesday without appointment. Finished all the process in less than 1 hour. Got the passport by EMS on Friday same week

Had the better half apply for one last year at the convention center. Took about an hour and the passport surprisingly turned up three days later via registered mail.

Thank you all, remember the last time it took more than a week as they have to send to BKK for endorsement..wonder they still do that....:clap2:
