They are definitely mostly cashless (hardly anyone carries cash) and the system went down one day at noon, and lasted 6-7 hours. Shops closed, gas stations shut, supermarkets closed...a real mess. KhunBENQ Posted July 2, 2023 Share Posted July 2, 2023 (edited) As the thread is in Pattaya local forum for no reason I overlooked it Yes Bangkok Bank app gave overload warning and simply ignored/timed out when trying to do a transfer. BUT: I opened the website and did some stuff without a problem. But to be fair: nothing to do with bad app software but much worse with the PromptPay backend.
