Based on their previous prophecies, that means we can expect three drys...

True, nothing on the radar I can see for them to make yet another prediction, last one was for the whole country, and nothing. Maybe just wishful thinking as we do need some badly

"Thailand’s dry spell forecast to linger until 2024"

"The department said between Jan 1 and July 2, the country’s rainfall nationwide was 25% below average, and dry spells have been forecast in many areas until July 17."

The weather forecast for Thailand, starting from midnight today to midnight tomorrow, predicts 40% of the northern region will experience thundershowers, mainly in Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lamphun, Lampang, Kamphaeng Phet, Tak, and Phetchabun.

A misleading headline, it makes it sound like the warning is for the whole country, while it only covers 40% of 8 provinces, encompassing roughly 15% to 20% of Thailand's area. A more realistic headline would be:

"Thai Meteorological Department issues flash floods and heavy rain warning for less than 10% of the country."

So much for the expert prognostication that we were gonna see a drier July.

Hah!

Been raining here everyday in July.....the immediate and long-range forecast [locally] is calling for continued rain - as it would be this time of the year - leading up to the second wave of August through October.

Experts.

We too are desperate for rain down here in Samui.

Weird weather on Samui....We have had prctically no rain since February.

Last night we had a massive Thunder Storm and it P!SSED down where I live (Hua Thanon).

However, I have friends in Lamai just 3K up the road who heard the storm, but got No Rain.
