OneMoreFarang Posted July 15, 2023 Posted July 15, 2023 Until now I always renewed my motorcycle basic government insurance at a dealership where I bought a bike. I just called the boss but now he is not in charge anymore. Is there an online option like a website or an app to get/renew the basic insurance? Or do I have to go to a "shop"?
novacova Posted July 15, 2023 Posted July 15, 2023 DLT vehicle tax app is the only thing that I know of as far as online business with DLT
scubascuba3 Posted July 15, 2023 Posted July 15, 2023 Here, but I've not tried it myself https://eservice.dlt.go.th/esvapp/login.jsf 1
BKKKevin Posted July 16, 2023 Posted July 16, 2023 https://www.roojai.com/en/motorbike-insurance/ Note the price quoted is for a year of class 1 insurance which cover cost of motorcycle damage and 200k of hospital coverage… I just chose that as an options… you can get the cost much lower by deleting those options… But I highly recommend you get hospital coverage in case of accident… 1 1

Etaoin Shrdlu Posted July 16, 2023 Posted July 16, 2023 This website contains instructions on how to obtain Por Ror Bor for motorcycles via the LINE app: https://www.rvp.co.th/underwritingQA_en.php Not sure if this is what you're looking for. 2

I just go to my local vehicle inspection centre. They charge 100 baht to handle my registration and 3rd party government insurance. I get the insurance certificate on the spot and I get the registration sticker a few days later. As my bike is older than 5 years, I need to take it there for a quick check of brakes and lights anyway. The inspection centres have a symbol of a big blue sprocket/gear. 1

Thanks I know I asked for online but on that web page they also write about getting the insurance at 7/11. That is probably the most convenient for me.

No money in it for them. 1
