I agree, However I was answering another poster. He seems to feel all Koh Tao deaths and rapes have been adequately explained away by the alleged ' authorities ' I don't think that would be his viewpoint if it was one of his family involved in one of these mishaps. Those were the headline words not my words as the poster implied. The results of why it is suspicious haven't been explained as yet and we need to watch and await the updates. By the way, it is suspect TO ME, as the family are not getting the answers as yet that they need. Judging on past performance and the history of Koh Tao, they have a right to be suspicious. I was going to say, ' I would be suspicious ' but I wouldn't because I would not allow my sons to travel there. I believe it is unsafe especially for the young and carefree. There have been too many rapes, murders, accidents and things too quickly resolved and brushed under the carpet by an inept police force, yet some on here try to justify the actions of the Thai police, even though they are known as one of the most corrupt police forces on the planet. I also firmly believe that there are two Burmese innocent men in Bang Kwang that were framed to suit the Thai police version of events and not damage their so called ' tourist image ' but that's another story. 1 1 1 1

Now if you had any doubt regarding the accuracy of the first autopsy surely one would want a second opinion. Just sayin like...... Yes I believe you can, but the first one will be done at the police forensic dept. in BKK AFAIK 1

Koh Tao is not called Death Island for no reason. very tragic for Daniel and his family. our thoughts & prayers are with you at this sad time. RIP Daniel ... 3 1

For example if he died from self abuse to much booze then sympathy for the GF page may stop. Just pointing out possibilities. 1 1
BarraMarra Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 The Authorities first have to talk to the head man and formulate an excuse for this young lads death. Most likely an Accident but they need to make it believable like Carbon Monoxide poisoning. A quick autopsy to let you think its been looked into and hey were smelling like roses again case closed. 1 2

My guess is as I mentioned ... someone has to make sure their stories align and on the same page. just saying. 2

Well someone is suppressing something steve, to get a death cert. an autopsy would be required, and his Embassy would/should know how he died. 1 1
