snoop1130
Pheu Thai party prime ministerial candidate Srettha Thavisin has reportedly told the party that, if he is to be the next prime minister, he will oversee the cabinet arrangement himself. He will take part in negotiations with coalition parties and there will be no Democrat or United Thai Nation party representation in his coalition. Srettha, however, subsequently denied having made such stipulations when he met the media later, adding that all the conditions have to be discussed with the other 7 parties in the coalition. During the discussion about setting up a government under his leadership, Srettha reportedly said no to the Democrats and United Thai Nation because they joined the protest against Yingluck Shinawatra’s administration. He is, however, willing to work with the Palang Pracharath party, but only if Prawit Wongsuwan does not take a cabinet seat. Here we go. Add Bumjaithai to it and we have same same but different from last government. Prawit doesn't need a cabinet seat, he can give his orders from his lazy chair. Someone can dig up the picture from the UK football stadion, and you will know who is in the next government Edited July 20, 2023 by BenStark
tomacht8
Srettha also said that the Move Forward party will definitely be in his coalition, so the government would get full support from the people, adding that he will ask Pheu Thai not to nominate anyone with a bad reputation for a ministerial post, to reduce public resistance. Let's see what will happen on July 27th.

Watch my words, there will be no MFP in the coalition either, because the Buriram weed farmer already said he will not support PTP if MFP is in the coalition 2 1
anchadian
The questions remains is will there be enough votes for Srettha to become PM knowing that MFP are still in his coalition, plus or minus Pita?

Ever considered that PTP doesn't need MFP if the other 2 smaller parties are in the coalition. All power for PTP as they then are the biggest party in the coalition. Like I said in my earlier post, there will be no MFP in the next government

Tropicalevo
This is all just candy floss. He will change his mind and pick his 'friends' once he is PM and there is nothing that can be done about it. 1

Given that PTP have stated they will not touch section 112 . How can MF justify staying in the coalition , considering the recent PM nomination principles that section112 is cornerstone of their election promises
bannork
Settha's words to Pheu Thai supporters whilst on the campaign trail: “Do brothers and sisters want us to join them? Over the past eight years, that’s enough,” Mr Srettha told the crowd in Loei. “We have made clear that we will not join hands with the two parties that played a role in the military coup to plunder people’s sovereign power. “We are a big ship while they are small boats rowing beside us. We don’t want them to stay close to us. Go a different way. We will certainly not join.'' 1

RichardColeman
The only party that can be voted in is one that benefits the senators. Maybe a PM candidate should publicly state he'll pay them off richly to do a hike

See other article this morning, looks like he will now. Plus there will be a few other minor parties to bring their numbers upto 260 or so.
