PANG-NGA (NNT) - The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) recently organized a fam trip to Pang-nga province as participants learned about the value and significance of health and wellness tourism.

Foreign media representatives and partners took part in the wellness journey in Khao Lak area of Phang-nga on 22-23 July. The trip provided an enriching health and wellness tourism experience as well as nurtured both physical and mental well-being through various activities, including experiencing natural hot spring baths and boiling eggs at Tha Nam Plai Pu Hot Spring, surfing the waves at Memories Beach, practicing yoga and meditation, participating in handicraft workshops such as batik painting, and tasting local delicacies of Michelin-level quality.

This trip promoted the "Amazing Thailand Health and Wellness Tourism: New Chapters, New Experience" project that aims to create a fresh perspective on Thailand’s wellness tourism products by making them stand out and excel in the global market.

In addition to the fam trip, TAT launched an online marketing campaign named "Thailand Meaningful Wellness" which puts together more than 140 newly-designed Meaningful Wellness packages from leading health and wellness establishments. The project is expected to increase travel activities and generate at least 12 million baht in revenue.

PANG-NGA

The English version always has a 'h' in Phang Nga or sometimes Phangnga.

Like in the sign in the photo.

Like spelling Phuket as Puket,

what do they mean by 'fam' ?

I had to Google it. Short for family is the best it could offer. As in

"yo fam, check ur texts!"

Woke new age snake oil.

Meditation, vegan, massage, yoga, homeopathy, natural food supplements.

I avoid anywhere advertising wellness.

As I thought, could be one or several of the the above items, possibly/probably at many 'Wellness' venues there's no qualifications, and the the products used not licensed / poor quality, and unknown names.

Wellness not on my bucket list.
