Wife says there's something dripping from the aircon.
This aircon in the spare bedroom has not been used for four years, its always turned off at the mains.
what would cause it to get to this stage

Condensation............

Did you start it up and then got the dripping, if so, the drain pipe needs clearing of creepy crawlies....????

This is a thick sticky substance that sets solid in the odd drop on the floor

Oh.....????

Protective coating on the circuit board that has degraded with time and heat, although it shouldn't end up in that mess.

 

I also had that on an LG air con although not on that part, the regular air con guys replaced the part that had melted.
