Indian Tourist Fights with Group of Pattaya Transgender People

Pattaya — A lone Indian tourist engaged in a physical altercation with a group of transgender people on the Pattaya beachfront Thursday night, August 10th.

Tourist police received a report of the altercation between a group of transgender people and one Indian tourist in front of the Baywalk shopping center on Beach Road, Banglamung district, Chonburi. They rushed to the scene to find both sides wrangling and physically fighting.

 

Local media reported that the Indian man, identified as Mr. Ankit Tibrewal, 39, suffered a wound to his mouth, lacerations on his arms and hands, and a cut on his head that may have been caused by a sharp object. Blood was also splattered on his shirt.

 

The transgender people, meanwhile, did not suffer injuries.

 

The police summoned both sides to the Pattaya police station, where the tourist received preliminary treatment to his wounds by Sawang Boriboon rescue services.

 

Upon questioning, Mr. Ankit told police that he was walking to his accommodation along Beach Road when he was approached by a group of transgender people who started a conversation with him.

Kind of crazy that they are fining both sides when these incidents occur if they press charges.  Usually causing both sides not to press charges.  Which leads to more of this behavior in the future.

The full article speaks of another attack recently by 20 transgenders. These transgender groups seem to have a lot of balls.

Lol - he claims that "for some reason" they wanted to look at his phone and then wouldn't give it back, which lead to the altercation.

And at the police station the "transgenders" reportedly intimidated a reporter into not filming them and wanted to press charges against the tourist for assault.

However the police determined that both sides had mutually agreed to fight and the police could charge and fine both sides so the transgenders decided not to press charges and left the police station.

The tourist refused to go to the hospital to have his injuries looked at and was returned to his hotel.

An NO, why on earth would ANYONE think "he should have known better" ? He might have been in the country for a day or two on the only trip he's ever made outside of his home country.

Just like I'm sure none of you had any clue what Thailand - and Pattaya in particular - was really like until after you got here. And if you met someone at a bar on your first night and they told you to take a stroll on Beach Road at night - you'd have probably thought you had just landed in heaven - until you found out most of those "girls" had a lot more "down below" than you did.

I used to walk from Soi 7 to Walking Street in evenings. Friends of mine had a band that played in a bar on the top (#2 road) end of the soi and when their gig ended I'd walk down to Beach Road and then to Walking Street. (Helped sober me up a bit.)

Used to pass all manner of katoeys and freelancers. Never had a single problem.

But then again, I wasn't stopping and gawking and trying to haggle any of them into lowering their prices (or going back to my hotel room where my 5 friends were waiting).
And I wasn't flashing enough gold to buy everyone in my home village a new cow.

But you can bet a lot of people on their first trip here wouldn't have a clue about the "dos and don'ts" and the "where not to go after midnight unless you are looking for something a little (or a lot) different".

Another day, another attack by trannies on beach road. No doubt it's the same group from the other day, or their friends. Sounds like they tried to rob the guy (steal his phone), he resisted and they attacked him. Police really should do something about this group as this is clearly a pattern and they've lost all fear of repercussions. Jokes about Indians aside, this is a serious matter and walking on beach road should not be dangerous.

Of course, walking on Bch. rd. at night should always be safe but damn, a group asks man to "look" at his phone and he just hands it over. Common sense should prevail over stupidity. Where is that ever an ok thing to do - India / Thailand? NO!!!!

 I recall a royal sponsored charity elephant polo tournament in Hua Hin years ago. The good natured transgendered team called themselves the Toothless Tuskers. It was a fun event to watch along the associated goings on and after-party.
