Weiss is the last person that should be appointed SC (unless your name is Bide

SC is appointed by DOJ, not the POTUS.

It was Deputy DOJ AG Barr who appointed Robert Mueller as SC in 2017, not POTUS Trump.

DOJ Barr appointed John Durham as SC to investigate origins of FBI's look into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election.

The authority of the DOJ did not change with POTUS Biden.

What a great country! Those in or close to the top of government related to both parties facing a multitude of criminal charges.

Only one of the 2 who are or were at the very top are facing criminal charges.

And that's why I wrote close to the top of the government. You know, as close as father and son. Although Trump supporters appear to be accusing the father, as that's convenient to them.

If the bloke broke laws let him pay. Pure and simple.

If this is inflated by the right, as it has reported by the middle and left leaning press and the Democrats as being done, and for a long time i.e. that his crimes are used as an attempt to distraction from what Trump has been accused of doing (projection).

The evidence touted in the J6 and other election issues, if true, is treason.

If the Biden family as conspired to commit crimes then they too are in need of conviction and serious penalty.

To conflate that somehow the Biden family are worse-than, akin-to the Trump family and what appears as massive frauds and criminal wrong doings by the Trumps and imminently to be tabled openly in court with evidences to prove said criminal activity then we may be seeing a panicked right, a panicked Trump and his family, in league with the GOP. which has seemingly given away integrity to both sedition and treason making an argument based on a junkies madness as being connected to his father and wider family as a means to distract, to tar, through disinformation and misinformation in order to somehow derail the prosecutions of Trump, to sway the electorate and win power, and all through their sedition and sycophancy disguised and 'True Patriotism'.

We know for certain that the Trump orbit confesses regularly through their obvious projections onto the Biden's and anyone who opposes their treason.

Poor sick Biden Jnr has been an atypical train wreck as a long time struggling to get clean junkie on the madness-making meth, and no wonder.

Trading on his family name like a wild animal trying to survive is not so far apart from what we see in open US politics ala Cruz, Hawley, Greene, and yes even Democrats.

So to bash him (apart from making him answer to the law if he has broken laws) is hypocrisy writ large.

If his dad was complicit in any way then he too needs to be prosecuted.

Let the evidence be shown in open court and let us see what is true and factual.

I can agree with your last sentence. But that's it.

The oversight report link is on page 1 of this topic. It is getting quite serious now - I don't think the GOP would publish this unless they were confident of the validity of the content.

Lots of sub links within.

How come we never hear about the laptop anymore? That was the same oversight committee.

As Weiss has testified, he was never impeded by Garland in any way whatsoever during his investigations. This looks like a cosmetic move to officially seal what was always the case.

This looks like Weiss is as bad as the rest of them.

Predictable.

The existence of the laptop was known of long before this House Committee on Oversight and Accountability was formed, after the GOP won last November. Where is it? Not sure - ask the FBI.

The existence of the laptop was always known, incriminating evidence - not so much.

You mean like their claims for the 1023 form? That Joe Biden accepted a bribe from the head of burisma? Or Comers repeated claims of having a smoking gun? Only to have those claims dissolved when he produces the alleged evidence? Even Fox commentators were questioning his bona fides. And now their disclaimer that they don't need a smoking gun? And they falsely  misapply  a law that they claim justifies it? That doesn't sound to you like a retreat? Really?

Have those claims dissolved? Really?

Ok, and he's been investigated about tax issues. However, the right-wing propaganda alleged other crimes and is still hopelessly looking for evidence. So hopeless that they are now stating that they don't need evidence (see the other thread).

What other crimes. FARA?
