What is the tipping practice in Thailand ?

I tip hotel room cleaners depending how long I've stayed and whether they make to extra effort to be chatty.

If the service is poor in a restaurant I don't tip, but do leave small coins in the tray the bill came on.

Bars, I always tip the server, in case she spits in my beer.

Do these signs mean that each employee gets the advertised amount for the month?   Or is this the total that, maybe, gets divided up amongst all employees?  The latter will probably not gain  very much for each of them!

it's what's everybody gets on top of their salary for that month, hence usually a big party and funfare when they announce what the amount will be,

mind y ou the lowest employee like cleaners might only get 9,000-11,000 baht per month only, and in the low season and low occupancy periods the figures won't be this high

This is no clearer than the original!

Does each individual get this large amount?  Or is this the total amount available for distribution, that gets divided up amongst the employees?

Please ask if you do not understand this distinction.

Yes, that's what each employee gets every month on top of their salary and benefits.
