Horrible Offensive Trump Commercial
It's accurate, in a way. Harris has done nothing in her role as VP. Nothing. -

What's it =really= like: To be DEEPLY in love with a bar girl? Do you know?
If you would have left that bar girl as soon as she went with another man, your heart wouldn't have been so broken, and you would have had the opportunity to find a regular girl, and might still be with her, as most of the women in Thailand aren't, and haven't been bar girls. -

Baht strength - How long?
It's why I get my UK pensions paid into Wise. They remain in sterling until I need to exchange, and hopefully at a better rate. Plus the £ against the Philippines peso is way up at 74.98, and as I've elected to move there for 6 months of the year to get the pension rise and avoid Thai tax if it ever comes in, seems I've made a better decision than some I've made recently! -

How to retire in Thailand
Size isn't that important (or so the GF says 😛) but I couldn't live anywhere with her that didn't have at least 2 bathrooms! Aside from that, location is my main consideration... Couldn't live out in the sticks as I no longer drive (license expired 11 years ago) & don't like living in the middle of busy towns (Though On Nut wasn't too bad) but do need to be close to a major town for all the usual amenities, I found Wongamat meets my requirements as best they can be met in Thailand. -

First UK Lawmaker Resigns from Labour Party, Accuses PM of Hypocrisy
And there is a very good reason why they are a rare breed. Once any of them show that they actually have some real principles they are ostracised by their peers and have no alternative but to leave the party, effectively in disgrace. This woman's simple ability to tell right from wrong, her concerns for the way the vulnerable have been treated. and her disgust at Two Tier Kiers cronyism, are actually laudable, but has effectively put her out of a job . A politician with "career ending principles" who's concern for the electorate was never going to be tolerated. It says a lot about the British political system, non of which is positive, but at least she gets to continue in her constituency as an independent MP Perhaps that's an indication of the way forward, perhaps if we looked a bit deeper we might find that there are more MP's who have some principles that are at odds with the policies of their party and as such are silenced. Its pretty clear that the real problem rests with the political parties , There are 650 Mps who should actually be working together in the best interests of the country, not spending most of their time indulging in petty "left verses right" arguments or living in fear of upsetting their party's leaders Removing "party politics" and of course the party's themselves might just be the way forward The loyalties between the various parties and their sponsors pretty much guarantees that the electorate will always be relegated to second place Far from ideal in my opinion -

What's it =really= like: To be DEEPLY in love with a bar girl? Do you know?
From what I've read, many are into the bar girl trade, but most are here with regular girls or married. Whether they were previous bar girls only they and the girl would know. -

How many here on the Farang Pub hope to die in Thailand?
Nice. Pity I never want to visit the US. I had the opportunity to work in the US or in Saudi, but I chose Saudi as it paid better. Perhaps I made the wrong choice, but that option has long gone. I worked in Saudi with a few American nurses, and one was spectacularly obese. There was one good looking one but she only went to marry a Saudi royal. She was literally a gold digger judging by the amount of gold she was given. I only have news and movies to go on and the above are in short supply, except on movies, where only the best looking get to act. -

From the comments I read on some AN forums, a few husbands here reckon that their Thai wives were virgin's when they met. 😂 -

White Culture
Thailand for me is like Gandalf in the Shire and going back in time. Very nice experience. Sadly the Thai's are lacking in civility and this is my #1 complaint here by far. They are meek and deferential people but lack general concern for others. -

Climate Protesters Target van Gogh’s ‘Sunflowers’ in New Act of Vandalism
Cults are dangerous things. The climate doomsday cult is particularly dangerous since it terrifies people into thinking that they are saving the world, when in fact they are acting like complete muppets.- 1

Medicare v Private Health Insurance - Different strategies - Are you covered?
If you pretty much live in Thailand for 9 months of the year does the credit card provider still consider you a traveller. I am wondering if there are restrictions at some point.
