August 30, 20232 yr Back in 2015, I met some guy from Serbia, aged 35, who regularly changed girlfriends, mostly young uni students, just over from YunNan, China. He had deep blue eyes, almost E.T. in appearance, though they were real enough. And maybe his eyes were why some of the Chinese girls seemed to dote so upon the Serbian . I don’t recall specifically how the topic arose between us, but the Serbian once told me that all the young college girls shaved down there. The thought of this self-disfigurement practiced by young co-eds, whether they be Chinese or Thai, shocked and startled me. And I had never in my wildest imagination even dreamed that such a practice could be happening all around me as I so naively lived in the same building as some of those girls; In fact, I had always thought the best of them. Since that time, the knowledge of this seemingly common practice among local college women has puzzled me. Shocked as I was at first, I have come to terms with this aspect of our rapidly evolving world. But what continues to perplex me is the why of this. And maybe now is as good a time as any to try to learn some answers about the facts of life. If what the Serbian told me is true, and he is no longer with us here, sadly, then why do the girls do it? Why do they shave down there? What is going through their minds when they do? Is it peer pressure? If so, then how could that be? I mean, who are these peers of theirs who are “checking them out”? Is it a matter of worry over personal hygiene? But how could that be? I mean, we live in a very cleanliness-conscious society, on a par with the Japanese, and everyone seems quite clean, even without shaving down there. Well, then, do the Uni Girls somehow believe it is Far Nobler to Shave down there, or what? Personally, I think shaving is a total waste of time. IMHO, Hair is Good. Hair, for me, has ALWAYS been OK. Why is this tasteless taste in “the shaved look” taking hold right (not) before our eyes, and without most of us knowing such things happen? I hope we can finally get to the bottom of this here. And, of course, I will not post any photos here, just because that would be in even worse taste than the shaving thing. Waiting for clarification on this point from those more in the know than I. Well, the main impetus for my posting this Topic was as a follow-up to the other forum Topic concerning preferred brands of After Shave Lotion. And also, as I mentioned earlier, the information imparted unto me by my Serbian acquaintance. As for my knowledge of shaving practices, there is a perfect logical reason I would not know much about this Topic. Beginning in the late 60s, I have never seen a GF or a wife shave, except once my first wife was shaved pre-op before minor surgery. Shaving is a stupid practice. No! Shaving is an idiotic practice which is followed by women who do not think logically, and do not think for themselves. I would not want to spend time with someone so foolish.

Why should we humans be goaded by Social Media or the Internet into engaging in "Monkey See, Monkey Do" behavior. Humans should be free-thinking animals who think before we act. The ability to be more discriminating is something that humans can be taught through better education, presumably. I mean, why behave like a macaque when we could, instead, behave like an educated human being? Of course, human behavior will never be logical, and this shaving example is proof.
