Dengue Fever Claims 3 Lives in Chonburi, as Cases Top 2,900 Last Week

Chonburi — Chonburi is grappling with dengue fever after over 2,900 people have been infected with the disease and 3 killed during the last week, Banglamung District Public Health officials said at a health situation update conference on September 4th.


Mr. Kitti Bunrattanate, a Public Health Officer, warned the public of the current disease situation in the province, saying there have been 2,987 cases of dengue fever reported in the past week, resulting in 3 deaths – 2 in the Banglamung district and 1 in the Sri Racha district.

 

Banglamung has witnessed an average of 26 cases per week, raising the total tally to 396. Mr. Kitti has instructed all relevant sectors, including local government organizations and community leaders, to closely monitor the situation and report any updates to the Thai Department of Public Health immediately.
