Pattaya – One of the prominent aides of the former Pattaya City Mayor has surrendered himself to relevant officials after he allegedly was involved in a Waterfront condominium project construction permit that allegedly involved corruption.

Colonel Prasong Chalermpan, Commander of the Office of Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) told TPN Media that Mr. Witthaya (name and age were not publicly released by law enforcement), a wanted suspect in the ongoing Waterfront Condo case and aide to the former Pattaya Mayor, has surrendered himself to the PACC.

An arrest warrant from the Thai Criminal Court of Corruption and Misconduct had been issued for him on an accusation of being involved with the project and incorrect permit grants.

One of the main reasons, if not even 'de main reason' those guys strive to get themselves elected to such positions is so they can be in power to be involved in such projects and their permission and thus reap the benefits of their 'support' of the projects...

Yes, no scruples, same as local politicos handing out 500 baht notes in Issarn to buy votes. Really only interested in being in those positions to enable brown envelopes not giving a crap about the folks.

Shame on all of them lowlifes.

Hello fall guy.

Is he the fall guy, or is he negotiating for amnesty in exchange for damning testimony against his boss?  I could see it happening either way.
