What can one say?

Those on the right side of history will not forget the utter harshness of this verdict.

Utterly wrong. The court shouldn't have such power in a genuine democracy, to ban someone from seeking political office & from voting for life.

What pol system are we in? We need to question & oppose such excessive judicial power.

The incalculable harm done by such underhand, egregious, 'law-fare', against those special few in this sad, benighted country who offer reason for hope & optimism.....is tragic.

And one despicable individual stands out as particularly culpable......so called 'activist', Srisuwan Janya.

If I felt more assured that my comments would not be censored (& understandably so) by AN moderators, I would indulge in the most vulgar hate speech (the like of which I promise you you ain't ever heard) against Janya and the gangsters who control him.

But then, Pannika's (imo) only temporarily a victim of this unjust ruling. Such rulings now can one day be binned & done away. Her day, like Pita's, is yet to come. Shame we'll have to wait so long for it......unless it gets decided sooner, on the streets....so to speak.

I watched her when she was still allowed on TV, a news commentary show if I recall. They kept copping bans because certain people got butt hurt by their words ????.  Hard to say what it is about her, but yum yum. Smart, educated, sassy and kinda hot. Nothing is forever, Thai politics needs brains like hers, no matter what side they're on.

An article in the main national newspaper that cannot be linked states that the court did not take away her right to vote.

A Thai Court issued a LIFETIME punishment, with no avenue for appeal or relief, EVER.

She's obviously not going to get a Royal Pardon.

Not exactly a ringing endorsement of a reasonable Judicial System, which seems to only deliver justice to those in power.

Stains like this last a long time, and the people have diminishing faith in the Thai Justice System.

It's the way Third World countries operate. Courts ban politicians and unelected people overturn election results. Just the way it is in Thailand, always has been and will be for the foreseeable future as the people are powerless to oppose the elite. They've tried protesting in the past, rioting and burning down buildings. Doesn't work, as the elite and the military control the weapons used by Thais to attack Thais.
