BANGKOK, Sept 22 (TNA) – The Fraser Institute from Canada has released the Economic Freedom of the World Index for the year 2566, ranking Thailand 64th out of a total of 165 countries and territories.

 

The Fraser Institute’s Economic Freedom of the World Index for the year 2566, based on the latest data from 2564, reveals that Thailand is ranked 64th with a score of 7.07.

 

In the ASEAN region, Thailand secures the 3rd position.

Funny, just a few days ago we learnt that "Thailand Ranks Ninth in the World for Country Most Open for Business". Wonder, how that fits in with 64th rank in the Economic Freedom Index.

Hong Kong decreased ever so slightly due to over bearing interference by the authoritarian CCP regime. That tells us everything we need to know.

.....because corruption is included. Therefore from 9th to 64th rank down.

I wonder if he mentioned that Thailand ranks 131st in freedom of speech, 127th in freedom of assembly, 114th in governance, 136th in institutional trust, 102nd in executive constraints, 84th in contract enforcement, 84th in adult skills, 116th in emissions, 118th in the protection of forests, land and soil, 82nd in restrictions on international investment, according to the The 2023 Legatum Prosperity Index?
