Popular Post webfact
The Move Forward Party (MFP) has come under scrutiny in a corruption probe following the contentious expulsion of Deputy House Speaker Padipat Santipada. Known activist Srisuwan Janya announced his intention to petition the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) to investigate the incident. The MFP’s move was viewed with suspicion, with Srisuwan and several political observers deeming it a tactic to simultaneously hold the positions of deputy House speaker and opposition leader. Srisuwan has accused the MFP of breaching the ethics code for parties and politicians, as outlined in Section 234 (1) of the 2017 constitution. by Atima Homtientong Top Picture courtesy of Bangkok Post Full story: The Thaiger 2023-10-02 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. "Ethics" does not require MFP to be removed from the political stage before May of next year, to clear the way for a reset of the Senate. Srisuwan, as a dedicated servant of the establishment, is gamely playing his part. It will be interesting to see whether this will be just another move to chip away a few more of MFP's leading players, or the start of "the big push"! 3

Popular Post dinsdale
Seems to me like a political tactic rather than corruption. 3
retarius
Quite right too. A dirty tricky manoeuvre that impugns the 'values' of Move Forward and its senior leadership. This shows there is no difference between any of the parties, all corrupt liars. 2

ikke1959
Everything must be done to get rid of any influence of MoveForward it seems. A lot of negative news all the time, while it is the only party that could help Thailand. All others as we see are doing the job for their own good Edited October 2, 2023 by ikke1959
retarius
Drag them before the CC and ban the party.

Brickleberry
Wouldn't the 'ethics' rule disqualify Captain flour? This guy went to prison in Thailand for murder - released a few years later after some other guy took the fall, and went to prison in Australia for importing heroin. Yet he is a minister in the cabinet. Biggest joke of the decade (no pun intended).
MrMojoRisin
Where is the junta loving brigade in this thread? I for one am fascinated to see how they will justify their support for the suppression of democracy now that they can no longer excuse fascism and authoritarianism and oppression as necessary evils to prevent that dastardly super villain Thaksin from destroying Thailand. Nowadays, subverting democracy benefits Thaksin…., what is a good old fashioned racist right wing nutter to do?
