Piped water and electricity. If you've ever lived anywhere where you have to wait for the 'hours of availability' you'll appreciate how good these are in Thailand.

Still have to wait on piped water at times.

I've thought a bit about your question.

I've concluded I do not under rate much.  I know what I enjoy, what is pleasurable, what is good for me.

I appreciate it.  I am aware of it.   'Rate it well'.

I do not underrate things in life.  I appreciate, am aware of a good thing. Seek it out.

Do other people not appreciate what they like ?   Fail to see the good things ?

Maybe I've misunderstood the question.

Reading a book (most days)

Cycling in the countryside (tomorrow)

Indian Curry (tonight)

Listening to music (most days)

Seems to me most people only think of spending money.

Apart from the Indian food, almost all the stuff I enjoy doing is free.

May be an image of ossobuco

I took the question to mean; 'Things you are familiar with hence wouldn't miss until they're gone'

British cuisine.  Everyone wants it but they can't get it right.

I read here about evil miscreants stealing the bottles of HP sauce that gracious restaurants supply with the breakfast that killed more Brits than Hitler.

Wouldn't seeing such a small potato's thief being merrily beaten about the head and neck with a bottle of HP sauce qualify as a small and under-rated pleasure?

Relatedly, Tiptree, the pricey jam people, sell an average-sized bottle of brown sauce for 3 quid. You'd have to have it on a chain. But someone would prob just bring a straw.
