Prostitutes, meaning the run of the mill garden variety which is most of them, work for money, which means anyone's money. The freelance ones that work in bigger cities, meaning NYC and the like, not a lower class city like Bangkok, will work out of the higher dollar bars. They might be the ones who would pick their customers, although money talks, and I'm sure they would still sleep with anyone who has the green. This isn't a trade where class is involved, although some might think it's that way.

One GF I had here (she just moved in with me one day) was all those + Alcoholic and Yabba user. But never stole one baht from me, or lied except one time she told me I lied to you about the Yabba. I learnt from her what 'Sometimes' means here, *often* she was stunningly beautiful.

AFAICT from the article, the stupid guy voluntarily did everything he did. No one forced him to spend millions/billions in cash, gifts, cars on the woman. And it's not like she stole the money from his house or forged his name on bank withdrawals.

 

She apparently may have misrepresented where she was living, and some other personal details... But hard to see how any of that equates to legal "fraud" or theft.

 

There's an old saying.... some people just have more money than sense.  But at least now he's seemingly managed to solve that particular problem in his case.

All I know is what I read, what others have told me, and what I've heard for over 60 years. A prostitute is the same worldwide. They all get into it for the same reasons, and they all charge money for sex. It's sad because they start out damaged, all usually from their parents or other family members in one way or another. I do agree on one thing. Thai women are the most beautiful in the world, and although I don't pay directly for women for sex, we all pay one way or another. I myself like a relationship where I can trust the other partner. Just hard to find that in a screwed up, damaged world. But I'm still hopeful. As long as a woman is faithful to you, and does what she can to be a partner, for a lifetime,  it doesn't matter where she comes from.
