But yes it is more likely  such arms that have been identified as US made are probably sourced via black market. Hence the desire to obtain  serial numbers to ascertain if said arms  should bin Ukraine,The Russian  equipment sighted is apparently extraordinarily old  and also likely scavenged from  within the previous conflict arenas.

Well, the Israelis warned Gaza citizens to leave for their safety and they ignored the warnings some were forced to remain t by Hamas it's their fault they were warned. The bombs falling are precision-guided as seen on many videos store weapons near them you are at risk as they have found out. There is no carpet bombing or indiscriminate bombing just Precision guided munitions. because Hamas is storing weapons knowing full well they are close to Civilians so blame Hamas for the killings in Gaza.

Indeed Hamas are exactly as you state  and despite some recognition of the puppeteering manipulation used to  justify motivation for the attack on Israel the  definition of hostage vs prisoner gets blurred once a status of war is declared.

In probability there will be an extended  stand off in negotiations . Surprisingly  and despite  assumptions of radical extremism Hamas has demonstrated  some level of  control  over the collective  Islamic terrorist groups who / which if were to follow Taliban extremism  would by now  have murdered the majority of captives. Hopefully a practical  degree of rational negotiations will secure  these victims. If so what eventuates  immediately after is a question that  will  always be present .
