Police rescued three Lao novices from a temple in Mae Rim district, northern Chiang Mai province after the abbot was accused of physically and sexually abusing them. Sex toys, G-strings and beer were found in the abbot’s accommodation.

A 20 year old Lao man, Tawanchai, sought help from officers at Mae Rim Police Station after his 12 year old brother, a novice within the temple, accused the 48 year old Lao abbot of physical assault and sexual abuse. These allegations extended to two other novices, just nine years of age.

Tawanchai rushed to the temple from his home in Chiang Rai to bring his brother home after learning about the incident via the phone call on October 9. However, the abbot would not allow the novice to return home with Tawanchai. As a result, Tawanchai reported the matter to the police yesterday, October 10.

Not all tourists come to Thailand for sex , food , or the beaches ...

Some want to learn about Buddhism ... what will they think about headlines like this ?

But , there are good monks , too ... just need to find them .

I don't think one can trust anyone not even Monks .

Seen the monks coming around every morning for their Food and money .

There are down here a couple that are Married and have property and wive in Isan one has grownup kids Don't know what the others have or not. One was from Singapore was here for a while and went back. an other one went back to Bangkok to get his Free Medical for his Cancer. Yea they travel for Free ,Planes Taxis ,Buses, Tuk Tuks

Why in Satans Name  are they Playing Monks ? Traveling? Holidaying?

Monks aren't  suppose to be Married ,have property ,have possessions, have Sex ,Beg for food and Money.

European Monks Are Self Sufficient . They have Big Farms  grow Crops and have cattle and Some make Trappist Beer They don't do the Cr@p they do here .

Pedophilia in the Catholic Church has been well documented because the omertà was lifted. There are good reasons to believe it is rife in other religions, too, but the fear of revealing incidents involving religious figures, as was, and still is, the case in the Catholic Church, has deep cultural roots.
