pacovl46 Posted October 13, 2023 Posted October 13, 2023 Pathetic, given the fact that murder, if you confess, will get you only 25! What's wrong with these people?

Liverpool Lou Posted October 13, 2023 Posted October 13, 2023 (edited) So much love being displayed for three corrupt senior Thai government officials who've been jailed...quite an about-turn for AN posters! What's happening, whatever next? Edited October 13, 2023 by Liverpool Lou 1 1

kidneyw Posted October 13, 2023 Posted October 13, 2023 Guess this guy has no friends in high places.
Neeranam Posted October 13, 2023 Posted October 13, 2023 He's not going to jail, it's all for show. When I lived in Isarn, the director of my daughter's school was charged with giving 40 million baht as a bribe to get his job. In court, 9 Ministry of Education officials went to jail for accepting the bribe but the school director was innocent!

Again ,proportionality too, given the Sums involved. Were they way above the typical official this 50 years ? 1
digger70 Posted October 13, 2023 Posted October 13, 2023 What in Satans name is wrong with the system? For murder a nice Bonus brown bag . Using a car for private use (no one got hurt )Absolutely insane and stupid.

smew Posted October 13, 2023 Posted October 13, 2023 As per this standard half govern. employees should be in jail Wow.. little excessive... and the guy( 1.5yrs ago) who killed 2 women gets 10yrs and released after 4 and kills again

Misuse of public office in Thailand carries a maximum sentence of death and has been so for very many years. Those members of staff who know about it and do not report it are also classed as complicit which is actually counter productive His staff must have been promised amnesty for informing on him

Reigntax Posted October 13, 2023 Posted October 13, 2023 (edited) He was probably flogging the army’s old stock of GT-2000 drug/golf ball detectors from the boot to fellow players and they notified the authorities that they still couldn’t find their balls. Edited October 13, 2023 by Reigntax
Reigntax Posted October 13, 2023 Posted October 13, 2023 (edited) Out of all the crimes Thai public officials are suspected of using a government vehicle for private use could hardly be considered to be urgent. Unless of course, he was beating senior army players in the golf competition. Then it’s fully justified ! Edited October 13, 2023 by Reigntax
