Need refrigerator repair help in Pattaya city.

Refrigerator Panasonic 1,6 years old is loud and noisy when the engine rolling and the lower part of the cupboard above the freezer freezes so its over cold.
Any good tips for good suitable priced repair man or company?

Over the years we have found an excellent, small electrical repair shop. They come and pick pop and deliver and seem very good price wise. We have a Japanese brand of refrigerators (we have more than one) and the ice maker packed up on one of them. The sorted it out in a jiffy. But it is a bout a million miles from Pattaya so I don't expect it's much use to you.

Are you trying to cram to much into the freezer compartment? You should always leave space at the back so that the vents are clear.

And what number setting are you using on the controls?

Some people fall into the trap of thinking that because Thailand is hot you need to turn the refrigerator controls up to the max. The problem maybe because the fridge is working too hard causing ice is forming on the fan.

Before calling a engineer I would try turning it off for a few hours so it can defrost and then turn the controls to a lower number.

Yes, simply could be set overly cold......check if there are 2 dials, separate for fridge and freezer compartments.

The very cold air from a freezer compartment is typically fed air into the refrigeration compartment, that's how the fridge part stays chilled. If the flow of air between the two sections is blocked, very cold air will build up in the freezer and ice will form above the unit, as you have described. As others have said, defrost the entire unit and next time don't overload either part of the unit.
