Water Filter Repair

Chopper

Recommended Posts

I have busted seal by the looks of it on the outside of my house water filter.

Can anyone recommend a company or person to change this and to service both the big and small water filters also.

Someone with a little English speaking ability would be preferable but not essential.

Suspect the seal is a rubber ring which that racket to the left tightens the base filter into the holder - try to tighten.  Ring slips around filter.  If that is not the case suspect plastic has broken and entire filter/assembly will have to be replaced.  Sorry can not help with local contact but any store that sells would be able to provide information for someone to check for you.

Thank you all for your replies.

It was the filter housing lid that was actually damaged. I had this replaced together with a new filter as my current filter was almost a year old.

The solid filters can be washed, so having 2 or 3 and replacing them works well. As you may have learned, clean the top where the O-ring goes, use a dab of silicone grease and be careful not to cross thread the bottom as you replace it.
