There are many herbs that you can use to help regulate your cholesterol levels. Sesamin is a great supplement and it's easily available in Thailand on Lazada. Also cooking oil is absolutely critical, rice bran, olive or sunflower have relatively high flash points and help to keep your cholesterol levels low. If you're cooking with standard cooking oil like soybean, palm oil and canola your cholesterol levels are going to be higher and you're likely going to be less healthy.

Cellulose is mainly used to produce paperboard and paper. Smaller quantities are converted into a wide variety of derivative products such as cellophane and rayon.

you don't seem aware that you fixation with cellulose is not only inaccurate but shows how ignorant you are of human natural history. 

It is the whole diet you should concentrate on and related to human evolution over the past millennia.

With cellulose you would become grossly constipated.

btw - by your blood pressure you are over 60 and overweight

By your postings your are evenolder and suffering from the first signs of "old-timers" disease

Are you guys too cool for school or are you up for an educational video?

 

It's the first time I've seen cholesterol explained this way ... and she does use a diagram which is helpful to understanding.

 

Dr. Boz explains why she doesn't prescribe statins. She differentiates between LDL in circulation and LDL stuck in the arterial wall. She says the statins lower the LDL levels in circulation, but it's the LDL in the arterial wall that can cause a heart attack. 

 

LDL 1

- Not associated with heart attack

- Increased by eating saturated fat

- Lowered by statins

 

LDL 2 (the one stuck in the arterial wall)

- Causes heart attack

- Increased by eating processed carbs

- Not lowered by statins

 

This video is mind-blowing!

Usual blind leading the blind here. Mostly outdated info. As I said earlier, worry more about the TG/HDL ratio.

 

Men with a low ratio of triglycerides/HDL had a low risk of heart disease even when LDL was high Men with a high ratio had higher risk even with low LDL. Triglyceride/HDL ratio is related to metabolic health and insulin resistance.

If you're cooking at high temperatures, go for avocado oil, if you can afford it. Very high smokepoint, unlike olive oil (which is otherwise, an excellent oil).

True. Same applies to rice bran oil. Very pleasant taste too. Thailand is one of the few countries in the world where rice bran oil is available inexpensively.
