webfact
Locals were shocked to discover the dead body of an American man floating in the Chao Phraya River in Samut Prakarn province near Bangkok. The cause of his death is under investigation. A 34 year old Thai man named Noppadon Charnnarongkun reported his shocking discovery at Phra Padaeng Police Station yesterday, November 6. Noppadon explained that he was working at the dock of the Sub Staporn company on Soi Phetchahueng 21 in Phra Padaeng district of Samut Prakarn when he noticed the body. Police and rescuers from the Poh Teck Tung Foundation arrived at the scene and discovered that the dead man was a foreigner. The man was wearing a black T-shirt, long black trousers and trainers. Due to the company’s rules and conditions at the dock, rescuers were unable to recover the body there. They had to drag the body to the Bang Kajao Nork temple dock and retrieve it. by Petch Petpailin Photo via Amarin TV Full story: The Thaiger 2023-11-07 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. This country just gets madder by the minute, that would ruin any forensic evidence directly at the scene. 5

Surely the first thing any police force would do is retrieve the body and take it to a morgue for a post mortem. 4 1

Then CSI can examine the area for any evidence such as drag marks, weapons etc which would indicate whether the dock was a crime scene or just where the body drifted to. Removing the body to another place before retrieving it from the water risks losing evidence such as property during the transfer process.

There was no reference to the police's work being obstructed in any way. The body was drifting down the Chao Phraya, how do the police "set up a crime scene" on the river where the body was first sighted? I wonder if you understand how ridiculous you....never mind. 3 2

If the dead body was flowing in the river........it doesn't matter to pull him out some meters away. 1
