Hua Hin is stepping up efforts to manage its homeless population and address street begging, following concerns raised by both residents and tourists.

The initiative, led by Hua Hin Municipality aims to preserve the city’s image while providing support to those in need.

Deputy Mayor Ms. Pilin Kongpan, alongside social welfare and municipal officers, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS) and other related agencies, surveyed some homeless people and beggars in the area. This move is part of a larger campaign to reorganize the approach towards begging in the city.

Kinda of funny.

Everywhere the war on poverty is slowly turning into a war on the poor.

I've been to Hua Hin several times.

It's a crappy town but not because of beggars.

I don't remember ever seeing one to be honest.

And if I did he didn't bother me much.
