Chonburi — Banglamung police apprehended a suspect they claimed was a notorious burglar who had been terrorizing the community with a string of midday thefts.

The suspect, identified by police as Mr. Prasert Laomanee, 50, was arrested on November 28th at 00:30 hours following an investigation led by Pol. Col. Nawin Sinturat, superintendent of Banglamung Police Station.

The arrest came after a series of complaints from victims who reported burglaries in their rental rooms in the Banglamung area of Chonburi province during midday while they were away at work.

The suspect, typically clad in a motorcycle helmet to conceal his identity, used a metal cutter to gain entry into the rooms and steal various valuables, including gold necklaces, amulets, and other precious items said Banglamung police. Following each theft, he would make a swift escape on his motorcycle, leaving residents feeling vulnerable and unsafe.
