Please can someone recommend any good dentists in Bangkok which is reasonably priced.

Preferably you had treatment there a while ago and can give feedback on whether you are happy with what they did.

  - I have heard a couple of stories about people getting work done and believed it to be good, but then (many months later) have problems due to infection underneath the filling because it wasn't cleaned out properly.

If you know of any dentists to absolutely avoid, that would also be good for this list  ;)

I’ve been using Dental Design at Sukhumvit for around 10 years. Excellent dentists, completely competent with their own lab. I’m a nervous patient and have full confidence. They’ve recently moved so I’m not sure of exact address but they’re between Asoke and Nana.

I tend to avoid dentists here. Everyone I know who goes to dentist seem here seem to strangely need root canals. these are not super common treatments in the UK but here it seems almost mandatory with every visit

i would love to find a good reputable dentist here so will be following the suggestions.

I have been going to Pornsak Dental Clinic on Sukhumvit soi 49 for more than 15 years. Extremely happy, had all sorts of stuff done. He explains everything, always tries to preserve and reconstruct before offering expensive options and has very soft hands. Price more than reasonable, even had small jobs done for free.

Does anyone have a recommendation in the Bangkok area for complex wisdom tooth removal? Price is not the main concern.

Well, I am a oral surgeon based in BKK and wisdom tooth removal is my specialty. Here is your advice.
You can go to any dental clinic and ask them if there is oral surgeon. If the price isn't your main concern.
then you should avoid the cheapest one. Because you will get what you pay. And some dental clinic in Thailand has poorly sterilization system.
The price range for complex wisdom tooth removal is between 4500B up to 10k depends on how complex it is.

Thanks. I became aware of that when going for a check up in Chinatown at the nearest local dentist.

Turned out the receptionist was also the dentist and the place was filthy. Everything from the chair to the tools used looked like it was from the 1970's.

Ended up going to Thantakit which was clean and modern and thankfully there are no urgent issues apart from mild Pericoronitis.

I have been using the dental clinic in Samitivej Hospital, in Sukhumvit Soi 49, for a couple of years now, after poor or expensive service in some of the places mentioned above.

I have been very satisfied with the work and pricing (general check-up's, one Root Canal etc).

Dental Design has moved to Times Square the second floor. I just saw Dr. Thamrong for the first time. Highly recommend this dentist and his clinic. I had bad resin fillings done on my back molar at Neosmile clinic at Asok. The bad job and filling material the dentist did created a gap underneath which led to extreme sensitivity. Thought was a bite issue. Went back to Neosmile to get adjusted 3 times. Still didn't fix it. And the dentist told me I would be fine after a while. Then my jaw muscles got tight and sore. I couldn’t eat and talk much for more than 3 weeks. I found Dental Design through Google. Within 5 minutes of telling my story, Dr. Thamrong explained to me what’s going on. Dr. Thamrong is warm, friendly and skillful. The clinic is clean with all the newest equipment. Price is very reasonable.

Thanks for updating the location. I’ve been there recently
