Colorectal Doctor/Hospitals in BKK

Featured Replies

Hello,

Over the last 5 years, I've been dealing with persistent issues involving my rectum/anus, specifically diagnosed as hemorrhoids and fissures by my GP in Canada.

I'm now considering a more in-depth examination and exploring potential surgical options if necessary. I would appreciate any recommendations for experienced doctors or reputable hospitals specializing in rectal/anal health.

I'm currently unsure about the specialists I should be consulting and want to ensure a streamlined process without jumping around various doctors.

Any guidance on the appropriate specialists for my situation would be incredibly helpful.

Thanks

The best in Thailand is Prof. Chucheep

He can be seen once a week at Bangkok Christian Hospital (arrive early) or at Bumrungrad. BCH is less expensive but apt to be more crowded/longer wait (he tends to be very heavily booked there)

I had to have chemotherapy back in 1988.  And from one of the side effects.  I have internal and external hemorrhoids.  If I have bleeding or discomfort I would go for an exam.
The doctor you would see is a Colorectal Surgeon.

Hi Sheryl,

Any thoughts on Prof. Chucheep vs. Prof. Art Hiranyakas of Bangkok Hospital for fistula surgery? The latter’s profile and credentials seem to be more impressive, but I have seen your posts in a few different threads saying that Prof. Chucheep is the best in Thailand. Any insights or additional information you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

100% agree. He did surgery on me 3 weeks ago.
