CanNot
Hello, migth be a strange question but I'm looking for a quiet bar to hang out, preferably buakhao area / beach road / second road. With quiet I mean no live band or music blasting with 120db through the bar. Any recommendations welcome Edited December 23, 2023 by CanNot
Popular Post kidneyw
Why not go walkabout. If you see one that appeals to you, just give it a try. 3 4
Popular Post scubascuba3
Maybe try 5 Star on beach road, near mike shopping mall, good views 2 1
georgegeorgia
Very hard to find a "quiet" bar nowadays, music blaring in the surrounding bars . Does it need to serve alcohol? Why not air conditioned coffee shop? I suppose it depends on what you are looking for? Girls? People watching? Etc
Popular Post bkk6060
Horizon bar at the top of the Hilton would be my suggestion. 1 1
JimTripper
I like the open air beer garden at the foot of walking street, oddly enough. Nice to watch the sunset and quiet, at least in the early evening. They do have some MTV on, but it's pretty good music and not overly loud. It's also free of the riff raff staff, pushing for drinks, etc. Edited December 23, 2023 by JimTripper 1
AlexRich
Why not try a hotel ... a luxury hotel like the Hilton ... they must have a quiet bar where you won't be disturbed by loud music or bar girls?
georgegeorgia
Is there a quiet style "piano" type be at in the 5 star hotels?
HappyExpat57
For a quiet bar, I've always gone to The Sportsman on Soi 13 Alley. No loud music and they serve Guinness.

Don't find the place appealing at all. But, they do have Guiness. 1

This is what the op asked for. ??? Let's let op make up his/her own mind. What you find unappealing might be just what they were looking for. 1

mran66
Have a walk around the Arab bars in the area behind marine Plaza hotel. After just walking around all farang focused bars in Pattaya are quiet! And I doubt they serve Guinness, possibly under the counter.

ozimoron
Jamieson's Pub is ultra quiet and they serve Guinness I believe. So does the German owned Siam Lounge nearby as well as German beers.

Bars on the door, not sure what this means? Haven't noticed many bars on doors throughout Pattaya unless your talking about the soi 9 police station.
Hanuman2547
I second the thought on going on a walkabout and finding some small bar that appeals to you in the area that you like. Other than that, the bigger hotel bars are usually quiet.

I think the best suggestion is just to go to an area and check them out there are some bars that do not have loud music along Beach Road but then again they don't need it because of the neighbors lol

I think it's a restaurant also, with a huge bar in the center. I noticed a "Ladies Welcome" sign up which seemed a bit odd. Seems like the place would be full of freelancers, but it appears they avoid the place if they are solo for some reason.

SportRider
Maybe Thank Bar on Soi Buakow, towards the market end on right side after jn with Soi 15. Cheap beer. Unobtrusive music. Good seats looking out onto the road. Excellent food on site.
