CPAP

Does anyone do CPAP therapy? I thought I posted this before, but I can't find it.

I started it about 6 months ago. I think I was hoodwinked by the CPAP mob. Anyway, too late now.

If you didn't notice a noticeable improvement, and if you are just as comfortable sleeping with or without it, you may not really need it. Did you have a legitimate sleep study done?

I was referred for a sleep study by my cardiologist and when I was all hooked up and fell asleep they stopped the test after 20 minutes. I stopped breathing 21 times in 20 minutes, once for 30 seconds. That was all they needed for a diagnosis of Severe Sleep Apnea. My Cardiologist believes the sleep apnea was the cause of developing an irregular heartbeat (AFIB).

I easily got used to using the machine and would not feel right trying to sleep without it.

Depending on the severity I’d suggest going to a provider such as a dentist or hospital that treats sleep apnea and can make a night guard that offsets the lower jaw for mild to moderate apnea as opposed to cpap
