British Billionaire Brothers Relocate to Monaco Amid UK Wealth Exodus
He's got himself confused and has been inattentive in his googling, mixing up a mid scale Scottish buy to let outfit with the massive Livingstone Brothers commercial empire,He should make a grovelling apology but of course he won't.He also priggishly implies that the gaming industry is somehow tainted - which of course it isn't if properly regulated. The bigger issue is that this fellow can't accept that an exodus of wealthy talented entrepreneurs and businessmen from the UK has any adverse effect. It's what dickheads like Clive Lewis and Richard Burgon say. It's not at all what Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves believe - and we can expect movement on this front. -

Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker Calls for Mobilization Against "Madman" Trump's Authoritarianism
He's been building up to this. Not only going after Trump but also "do nothing democrats" sitting idly by while Trump ruins the country not to mention the global economy. Two months ago. It's widely acknowledged that governors are more qualified for the presidency than congress members not to mention bad businessmen grifters. -

Almost Refused Entry at Chiang Mai Airport -Be Warned! - 2nd Visa Exemption
Yeah, exactly — same here. In 14 years, never had any issues at CNX. Always thought it was one of the easier airports — just hand over the passport, smile, quick stamp, done. This was the first time ever I saw secondary inspections happening at Chiang Mai. And not just me — there were lots of people getting pulled aside. Honestly, I also think you're right — probably fallout from all the Pai problems and visa abuse stories. Looks like they're trying to clamp down hard now — the kind of "clean-up" Big Joke always pushed for. Problem is, the net is too wide — bad guys might still slip through, I've never worked in Thailand, and never will. I'm not working, not overstaying, nothing shady — just here quietly spending. I had the incident back in 2019, right after they introduced those scanners. They nearly blocked me physically from exiting the country . I literally had to ask the young lady officer to move aside so I could pass through. BKK is still terrible too. Last year, one of my friends — a one-percenter, very successful business owner — came to Thailand for just a 16-day holiday. They held and questioned her at the airport about a six-night stay seven months earlier. Absolutely baffling behaviour. -

Report Abandoned Abroad: British Pensioner in Thailand Slams 'Immoral' Frozen Pensions Policy
Yes. However, other income is not, and there are many UK non residents with income from foreign investments who do not pay UK tax on that income. So he is contributing to the UK economy by spending his pension in Thailand? OK. Yes, I did state that excess over the threshold of 12,570 was taxable. He is not spending the pension on goods and services in the UK. There is no economic benefit for the UK from him. Exemptions from the law are obtained by a reciprocal social benefits agreement with another nation. Thailand did not agree. Is that the UK's fault? Other UK nationals have the agreement if they are living in the Philippines, Turkey USA, Barbados etc. A grant of what you demand would see hundreds of millions of pounds be sucked out to residents of Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, etc. That is why a reciprocity agreement is needed. Thailand won't enter into the treaty with the UK.
