Popular Post ThailandNinja Posted January 11, 2024 Popular Post Posted January 11, 2024 This is an extension on a previous extension. And I was out of the Kingdom during this period. No new TM30 filed when coming back. I booked a time online and showed up 30 minutes early. Passed the que and went direct to desk no 8. Was told to come back on my booked time…that seems fair. :) Back at desk no 8, 30 minutes later. And there were a lot of people waiting. Presented my passport with relevant copies. Bank paper and bankbook with copies. Copies of a condo rental contract and copy of owners id. Out in 10 minutes! Wow!! No TM30, 90-day or house book shenanigans. Maybe I was just lucky. 😁 Great work Jomtien. 🙏 1 3 1

I was under the impression that Jomtien had gone TM30 crazy. Good to see it wasn't required. Along with TM47 Regards bank book? Seems photocopies of pages were sufficient. No bank statements required. Did you use money in bank or monthly income?

I had a bank statement and bankbook. Money in bank.
gargamon Posted January 11, 2024 Posted January 11, 2024 I need to do this in a couple of weeks. How did you book the appointment? 1

Make sure you print the booking on a paper. Immigration loves paper. 😂 2 2

Thanks. Doesn't seem to be utilized much. Lots of slots are available starting Monday (it's Friday today). I wouldn't expect this to last once people find out about it.

Just a wild guess, but it seems that people with an "older" TM30 are being asked to do a new TM30 with the new reporting system for just about any transaction. While people with "newer" registrations are not or maybe it's just a crap shoot. For those who own or those who have helpful landlords, getting a new TM30s is easy. Those with foreign landlords who don't live in country find it not so easy, regardless of what the rules strongly suggest as being the responsibility of the landlord. When I become the head of Immigration, there will be a single TM77 which is a combination of TM30 and TM47. 55
statman78 Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 Good report! Very easy when you have the correct paperwork and an appointment. I did my non-o retirement extension here in Chiang Rai last month. Just like the op I had an appointment and everything went quickly. The only difference is that I had to provide copies of my latest 90 day report and TM30. My original TM 30 from 2018 when I moved to Thailand is still stapled in my passport and that was all I needed even though I have left and reentered the country on numerous occasions and also stayed at various hotels within Thailand. 1

In Sept I went back to UK to get new passport and came back on new visa. There is no passport number on the TM30 so I took it out of the old passport and stapled it into the new one. A few weeks ago when I went to do the extension I fully expected them to tell my wife to do a new TM30 but nothing was said. Like you I have travelled quite extensively since 2015. 1 1 1
