Do you know your province ?

Obviously from the vid, I know locally it's the land of pineapples (Batavia), coconuts & rubber, more so the former.   Though didn't know 37% of the province is dedicated to pineapples.   A good thing, as take 1-2 years to yield fruit, and may fruits again.  If making the effort, the plant has a 'pup' plant, which may produce another.

"Only one fruit is produced per pineapple plant. Sometimes you can harvest a second crop, the ratoon crop. Remove all pups but one ratoon (a pup emerging from underground). This pup will develop into a mature plant and produce a fruit in the same space."

That's all a good thing, keeping the air pollution from burning down, vs rice, sugar & corn crops.  burning once or even twice a year, to prep for planting of the latter crops.   Same with coconuts, though the palms are collected and if not used, burned.  So all 3 main crops are a bit more eco friendly on the local air pollution, than other areas growing rice, sugar & corn.

Thailand being the 6th largest producer of Pineapples, (slipping from 4th (2017) and there's a Dole processing plant up the road a bit, west of Hua Hin.  Along with plenty of collection stations off Hwy 4/Phetkasem Road.

Think the rest is all common knowledge.  Hua Hin as main tourist destination, then beaches southward, attracting less foreigner, and more locals that tire of Hua Hin's congestion & prices.   North to south; Pranburi, Sam Roi Yot, KuiBuri, Bo Nok, Prachuap Khiri Khan/Ao Manao, Thap Sakae, Ban Krut & Bang Saphans before entering Chumphon.  It's quite the long province, along with being one of the thinnest, at <15 kms in some stretches.  Hills to the west, easily visible, w/Myanmar on the other side of.

South of the house, all coconut groves as far as one can see:

Si Satchanalai is 40 minutes away. Otherwise not much to do.

I know my province well, from Mueng out to the various Amphurs and Tambons.  It's a good place to live.

Isn't it spelt Uttaradit bignok?

Know Lampang, cm, cr & Lamphun very well, though always finding out about things and places I never knew before. Need another lifetime to know it all

Bang Saphans, also has a dairy co-op, where the cows will eat all the pineapples that cannot be sold, they do well on them, the under sized, miss shaped etc., and it is on the coast, last time I was they we had a very pleasant evening at a restaurant on the coast, food is now like the southern diet, hot and spicy with turmeric and cumin, made a change from my normal central Thai diet ,Pac-Grabow ,Pac- Prik- On.

I believe I know Chiang Rai province quite well, but there is always something new.
